What do I do?
Click the red button. One click is one virtual death. All players work toward the same world total.
Why does it move?
The original Flash button drifted back and forth. This version does too. You can also focus it with Tab and use Space or Enter; hold-to-repeat does not count. Reduced-motion preferences stop the movement.
Does anything happen to actual people?
No. This is the original game’s dark joke expressed as a counter.
Why is the population still growing?
Three more people per second are added after the first click. The world does not stop while you take a break.
How do countries work?
Countries and territories are completed in ascending order of their 2001 population. The current target changes automatically. Added population belongs to the final target, China.
Are my clicks saved?
Yes, every few seconds. Guest scores are remembered by a cookie. Register before clearing browser data to keep your score under a name and password. If the connection drops, keep the page open until it says “All clicks saved.”
Can I use my old Homokaasu account?
No. This is a separate recreation with new accounts and a new world. Signing into a named account resumes that account; it does not transfer another guest’s clicks.
Where are the upgrades?
There are none. You, the button, and several billion clicks.
How faithful is it?
The Info page lists the recovered references and the parts that had to be reconstructed.
